JFK: DESTINY BETRAYED
The four-part series JFK: DESTINY BETRAYED is directed by Oliver Stone, written by James DiEugenio, produced by Rob Wilson for Ixtlan, and executive produced by Andrea Scarso, Amit Pandya, Peter Touche, Fernando Sulichin, and Angela Ceccio.

Chapter 1:
Oliver Stone introduces this first chapter, giving background on the Assassination Records Review Board, created by an act of Congress following the controversy of his 1991 film, JFK. Going back to November 22, 1963, this episode explores the aftermath of President Kennedy’s assassination, and the early suspicions of his brother Robert Kennedy that more than one assassin was involved. Contrary to popular belief, the Warren Commission, the official government investigation into Kennedy’s murder, was not unanimous in their beliefs that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin.

Chapter 2:
This chapter highlights bizarre anomalies in the medical evidence and key differences between the Warren Commission conclusions and the eyewitness testimonies of the doctors who tried to save Kennedy. The chain of custody for the supposed rifle and “magic bullet”-- vital to any proper murder investigation-- fall apart under closer examination. Flashback to 1953, Kennedy, as a senator, travels to Vietnam, seeing firsthand the French losing their colonial war. When he becomes president, these anti-colonial convictions put him on a collision course with the Pentagon and CIA.

Chapter 3:
This chapter examines Kennedy’s autopsy, from the inexperienced doctor who burns his notes, to the autopsy photographer who claims that he did not take all the photos – indicating that alterations has been made on key details. Flashback to the Cuban Missile Crisis and Kennedy’s intense battles with his military leaders. In the months leading to his assassination, Kennedy boldly defies them in refusing to send ground troops to Vietnam.

Chapter 4:
Who was Lee Harvey Oswald? This final chapter examines new evidence surrounding the accused “lone nut,” and his associations with groups tied to the CIA. After Kennedy is killed, the world mourns, and consequences are felt around the globe as Johnson reverses course to disastrous effect, especially in Vietnam, Indonesia, and South America.
