Shout! Studios, the multi-platform filmed entertainment distribution and production arm of Shout! Factory, has secured North American rights to FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES, a warm and affecting comedy-drama from Allegheny Image Factory and Witty Michaels Entertainment. Written and directed by Robert Tinnell, FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES is the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Tinnell’s Eisner award-nominated graphic novel (illustrated by Alex Saviuk) and Italian holiday cookbook of the same name. Produced by John Michaels, Jeffrey Tinnell, and Robert Scott Witty, FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES stars Skyler Gisondo (Booksmart, Santa Clarita Diet), Madison Iseman (Annabelle Coming Home, Jumanji: The Next Level), Josh Helman (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Mad Max: Fury Road), Addison Timlin (Startup, Fallen), Ray Abruzzo (The Sopranos, Transparent), Andrew Schulz (Sneaky Pete), David Kallaway (Logan, Sneaky Pete), and Lynn Cohen (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Munich) with Joe Pantoliano (Bad Boys for Life, Percy Jackson and the Olympians) and Paul Ben-Victor (The Irishman, The Sopranos). Executive producers are Joseph E. LoConti, Sean Thomas O’Brien, and Erick Factor. The announcement was made today by Shout! Factory’s founders and CEOs Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, filmmaker Robert Tinnell, and Jordan Fields, Shout’s Vice President of Acquisitions.

Shout! Factory has secured all North American distribution rights to FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES, including theatrical, video-on-demand, digital, broadcast, and home entertainment for cross-platform releases in the U.S. and Canada. Shout! Studios plans a strategic launch of this movie across all major entertainment platforms, beginning with a theatrical day-and-date run in November 2019, just in time for the holiday movie season.

“Robert Tinnell’s funny and heartwarming film will be a perennial Christmas classic. You don’t need to be Italian to recognize your own family in this offbeat, endearing and nostalgic trip back to the 1980s,” stated Jordan Fields, Vice President of Acquisitions at Shout! Studios.

On behalf of the filmmaking team Tinnell noted, “FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES is built upon underlying IP that stretches back beyond the film and graphic novel into the heart of Italian-American immigrant culture. We sought a partner with meaningful expertise in support of established properties and a vision for the innovative thinking the film needs in order to reach its four-quadrant potential. Shout! Studios checks every box for us and we look forward to benefiting from their experience and their passion for the film.”

The movie deal was negotiated by Jordan Fields and Vanessa Keiko Flanders, Shout’s Vice President of Business Affairs, and Derek Kigongo of Paradigm on behalf of filmmakers.
