The Tiger Hunter is a comedy that stars Danny Pudi as a young man who relocates to 1970s Chicago to become an engineer. When his job falls through, he resorts to an elaborate charade with misfit friends to woo his childhood sweetheart.

Based on actual events, the crime drama MDMA takes place in 1984, where the most powerful drug dealer on the West Coast was a 19-year-old coed. Angie Wang wrote and directed, while Annie Q. plays the lead.

The Air I Breathe comes from director/writer Jieho Lee. The drama is based on an ancient Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones: happiness, pleasure, sorrow, and love. A businessman (Forest Whittaker) bets his life on a horse race, a gangster (Brendan Fraser) sees the future, a pop star (Sarah Michelle Gellar) falls prey to a crime boss, and a doctor (Kevin Bacon) must save the love of his life (Julie Delpy). Andy Garcia, Kelly Hu, and Clark Gregg are among some of the talent that round out this unbeatable cast.

Another ensemble, this time on the lighter side, is the series of eleven vignettes that make up New York, I Love You. Maggie Q stars in the story from director Yvan Attal, alongside Ethan Hawke, Chris Cooper, and Robin Wright. Each story is woven together by their setting: one of the most loved and hated cities of the world, New York City.
