Oh, Magoo, You’ve Done It Again!
Jim Backus gave us many things in his time. There was The Millionaire and His Wife as well as the lovable nearsighted bumbling adventures of Mr. Magoo. We’ve proudly packaged up your favorite Magoo TV moments into an 11-disc deluxe set for release on November 8. Mr. Magoo: The Television Collection (1960-1977) contains over 30 hours of content, including The Mr. Magoo Show, the prime-time TV movie Uncle Sam Magoo and, for the first time on DVD, 26 episodes of The Famous Adventures Of Mr. Magoo. There’s even more, so be sure to click for additional details! |
Three Dy-no-mite Divas
Roger Corman is responsible for bringing us some of our favorite movies, whether it’s films about toothy fish (Piranha), long-haired rockers (Rock ’N Roll High School) or sidewalk-hustling future leading ladies (Streetwalkin’). Let’s add a trio of hot mamas to the list with the release of Roger Corman’s Cult Classics: Lethal Ladies Collection on October 25. The 2-disc set includes Firecracker, TNT Jackson and Too Hot To Handle. |

| On November 10 the Los Angeles County Museum of Art will screen a documentary about legendary filmmaker Roger Corman. Corman’s World: Exploits Of A Hollywood Rebel explores his illustrious career and includes many of the notables he’s worked with over the years. Present at the event will be Director Alex Stapleton and Roger Corman himself. Tickets available at LACMA.org. |
| Our release of Barney Miller: The Complete Series features bonus footage from the excellent documentary about Barney Miller co-star and pioneering Asian American entertainer Jack Soo. It’s called You Don’t Know Jack, and it was written, produced and directed by San Francisco mayoral candidate Jeff Adachi. Buy the DVD here. |
