The Boys In Blue
Sure, there have been many cop shows over the years, but only one has an ensemble cast as memorable and iconic as Barney Miller. Miller, Wojo, Yemana, Fish . . . Great characters, and we’re bundling them all up in a comprehensive 25-disc box set. For the first time, you can own the complete series, all 168 episodes, from the entire eight-season run. The set includes new interviews, a commemorative booklet AND the first season of spin-off Fish. Look for it on October 25. |
The Boy Who Works Blue
Writer, director, podcaster and pop-culture wunderkind Kevin Smith is joining the Shout! family this October with the super-extended versions of his Too Fat For 40 comedy special on Blu-ray and DVD (both of which also include a bonus DVD loaded with must-see special features). On top of that, we’ll also be releasing the first season of his animated podcast SModimations on DVD, also with plenty of extras. The never-before-seen extended version of Too Fat For 40 runs nearly three-and-a-half hours and includes a new intro by Smith, among other goodies. SModimations: Season One features Smith and cohost Scott Mosier’s weekly SModcast, animated and edited with new material to create a seamless feature film experience. And if you really L-O-V-E Smith, you’ll want to get the Deluxe Edition Box Set that includes both DVD releases, plus a never-before-released DVD of Hollywood Babble-On, all in a 4-DVD set housed in a slipcase. These are all out October 18, with the deluxe set being made available exclusively at ShoutFactory.com. |

The Boy Who's In Blue
The Adventures Of Tintin: Season One is a great intro for moviegoers to the upcoming feature film directed by Steven Spielberg, as well as a fantastic collectible for fans of this beloved classic. The series started as a French comic strip in the 1920s, ultimately finding its way to TV in the 1990s. The adventures of Season One include the stories “The Secret Of The Unicorn,” “The Crab With The Golden Claws” and “Red Rackham’s Treasures,” which have elements that are woven into the big movie! Get the DVD on November 22 in anticipation of the motion picture event The Adventures Of Tintin in December. |
10 Things I Hate About Blue You
First there was a bloke called Shakespeare and a little play called The Taming Of The Shrew. A few hundred years later, Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger revisited the Bard with a film called 10 Things I Hate About You (see, it rhymes). Then, in 2009, a charming but short-lived TV series hit the air, based on the film and bearing its same name. On September 20 the second half of the series will finally be released in a 3-DVD set, replete with bonus features. You can preorder it now. |
