We are all set to embark on our eighth SDCC adventure. Our booth has moved, so you can now find Shout! at #4248, near the back wall and the food concessions and right across the row from G4. Lots of goings-ons, but the highlights: “The Evolution Of Transformers” panel on Friday at 5:30pm in Room 8; Trailers From Hell signing with director Joe Dante and Elizabeth Stanley (Thur, 3:00); and Battle Beyond The Stars signing with film legends Sybil Danning and John Saxon (Sat, 2:30).
More details can be found here. Be sure to bookmark the page, as we'll be posting regular updates from the convention center floor, giving you the full Comic-Con experience!

Oscar® Winners Have to Start Somewhere . . .
Melissa Leo may have recently won an Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actress in The Fighter, but in ’85 she was earning her thespian stripes playing a NYC teen runaway prostitute in Roger Corman’s guilty pleasure Streetwalkin’. This one has it all: foul-mouthed pimps, drugged-up junkies, topless dance club scenes and Julie Newmar (“Catwoman” from the ’60s TV show Batman) as a hooker strutting around in red lingerie. This sleazy you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it DVD releases on August 2. |
A ’Copter By Any Other Name . . .
You know the theme song. In fact, you’ve probably caught yourself humming it for no apparent reason. Well, there is reason . . . it’s Airwolf, darn it! And now the feature-length pilot/movie is heading to DVD for North American audiences. Airwolf: The Movie stars Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine and Alex Cord and is a fully restored, uncensored presentation of the telefilm. The release also includes an all-new interview with Borgnine and more. Look for it September 6. |

Yippee-Ti-Yi-Ay, Dudes!
Back in the early days of Nickelodeon, a young Christine Taylor (before she was a Brady or a Stiller) starred in Hey Dude, a live-action teen comedy that takes place on a dude ranch. You know the category. Fans have clamored for it for years, and we are now happily releasing Season One in a 2-DVD set. Out now, it features all 13 episodes, plus a new interview with Taylor. C’mon down to the Bar None Ranch, won’t you? |
