No Wiping Allowed!
Paintballers the world over know that there’s one offense
you NEVER commit in the game, and that’s “wiping.” The consequences can be
very, very serious. Just take a look at the comedy Blackballed: The Bobby
Dukes Story (out 7/25). Rob Corddry (The
Daily Show With Jon Stewart) stars as a
paintball champ who makes the biggest mistake of his career when he
intentionally wipes a paint hit off his jersey. After a ten-year ban, he
returns to reclaim his crown. Of course, no one wants to play with a dirty
cheater, and that’s where the comedy really kicks in. The film also features
fellow Daily Show correspondent Ed
Helms, as well as Paul Scheer (Best Week Ever) and Rob Riggle (Saturday Night Live). The DVD is packed with outtakes,
deleted scenes, commentaries and more!

It All Started With the Babe!
The
greatest rivalry in sports is inarguably between the New York Yankees® and the Boston
Red Sox®. With fans against fans and team against team, this opposition only
gets hotter each year. Shout’s latest MLB DVD, Red Sox vs. Yankees: The
Ultimate Rivalry, happily fans that flame.
And it’s been a favorite in both New York and Boston since its May 2 release. There’s
dual narration by each of the teams’ managers, so you get to choose your
perspective. If you want to jump into the controversy, here’s your shot! |

On
the Road to Redemption With Shakespeare
There are few films that incite as much discussion as Shakespeare
Behind Bars. The doc takes you inside a
maximum security prison, in which a group of convicts are cast in a production
of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The
film follows their rehearsals and personal dramas over the course of a year. Film Threat says, “*** 1⁄2. An emotionally satisfying
exploration of the creative process. The character study is flawless.” On DVD July 18 and in independent
theaters and festivals throughout the summer.

Tom Paxton and Freedy Johnston Live!
A couple live CDs are on their way to your local stores from
the Factory. Tom Paxton and Freedy Johnston kick off the Live At
McCabe’s Guitar Shop series
on July 11. If you live in the Los Angeles area, you know all about the
McCabe’s experience. For the rest of you, here’s the skinny: McCabe’s is a
guitar shop in Santa Monica that has a small, intimate room in the back where artists
play. The performances, and this CD series, showcase singer-songwriters in an
atmosphere that befits their sound |
