Putting Our Best M.A.S.K. Forward
The 1980s fan favorite M.A.S.K. is coming to DVD this year thanks to a new deal we just finalized with FremantleMedia Enterprises. Plans are underway to release the 65 episodes that comprise the original complete series (though not the additional ten episodes sometimes referred to as Season Two) in a deluxe set, along with smaller bites in 2-disc sets, beginning August 9. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Woman
The newest addition to our Marvel Knights Animation series is Spider-Woman: Agent Of S.W.O.R.D. Out June 14, the release was developed by the legendary Eisner Award-winning team of Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev and features guest appearances by Spider-Man, the Avengers, Wolverine, Black Widow, Captain America and Ms. Marvel. As with previous Marvel Knights releases, this one includes bonus content and comic book-like packaging. |

Action-Packed Goodness
You may have noticed that we’ve been releasing a number of double features on DVD lately. Well, get that popcorn popping! We just issued the latest combo, the Action-Packed Double Feature, which includes two films from 1976: Fighting Mad and Moving Violation. Fighting Mad stars Peter Fonda as a one-man war machine on a mission of justice, while Moving Violation is a high-speed thriller set in Small Town, U.S.A. Both films have special features and are produced by Roger Corman. |
It Was Real
On April 12th, the Paley Center for Media in New York hosted a fantastic panel honoring TV legend Ernie Kovacs, timed conveniently for the release of our Ernie Kovacs Collection DVD box set. | Did you catch the TV Land Awards last week? It was a great show with many fantastic highlights. Call us biased, but our favorite moments were Daryl Hall & John Oates' performances of “You Make My Dreams” and “Rich Girl,” Billy Vera singing “At This Moment” and the long-awaited reunion of The Facts Of Life cast. The show streams on their site, so check it out here! |
| Speaking of awards . . . we just learned that we won two awards from the folks at the TLA Cult Awards. Thanks for including us! |
| And, on that same topic: We also won a Rondo. The Lost Skeleton Returns Again and Dark And Stormy Night—submitted as a double feature—won Best Independent Film. The Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award is presented annually by the Classic Horror Film Board to honor the top works of horror in film, television, home video and publishing. |
