Ernie Kovacs Collected!
We’re very pleased to be bringing television’s original genius into the 21st century with the 6-DVD box set titled The Ernie Kovacs Collection. The set contains over 13 hours of content, covering his brilliant—albeit short—career. All of his best-loved characters are present: the Nairobi Trio, Percy Dovetonsils, Eugene, the Kapusta Kid, Miklos Molnar, Uncle Gruesome, Matzoh Hepplewhite, Rock Mississippi, the Question Man and Dorf. Due out April 19, the set is sure to make fans happy and introduce a new generation to this comic legend. The celebration was kicked off this past weekend on what would have been Kovacs’s 92nd birthday. In his honor, fans ignited Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and his newly launched website by posting birthday remembrances and hash-tagging one of his signature phrases, “It’s Been Real” (#itsbeenreal) — thus officially bringing Ernie Kovacs into the modern age. Don’t forget to order the box set directly from Shout! Factory to get a bonus DVD featuring even more unreleased Kovacs material.
Gosh, Mr. Wilson — It’s A Dennis The Menace DVD!
The Beaver isn’t the only little ’50s tyke getting the DVD treatment. He’s soon to be in the company of that mischievous, slingshot-wielding comic strip icon Dennis The Menace. We’re releasing the classic first season of this beloved series in a 5-DVD box set. It includes all 32 original uncut episodes plus archival bonus content such as interviews with Jeannie Russell and Gloria Henry, original promos and an episode of The Donna Reed Show that featured guests Jay North as Dennis and Joseph Kearns as Mr. Wilson. The set hits streets on March 29.
ELP ’78 . . . Live!
Last year Emerson Lake & Palmer fans ecstatically received the 4-CD “best of the bootlegs” collection A Time And A Place. We decided that there must be more! And so there is. We went digging for other live sets and came across the original analog tapes of their much-traded legendary February 9, 1978, concert at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. The 2-CD Live At Nassau Coliseum ’78 will be available officially—for the first time ever, mind you—on February 22 and offers 17 stellar tracks, including the trio’s biggest hits from the ’70s. It’s another one not to be missed.
Good Things Come In Small Packages
Great news for all you fans of ’80s TV (we know who you are). Webster: Season One is finally available on DVD. It’s true — that cute little rascal and all his adventures are ready to be enjoyed once again. In fact, we find Webster so completely adorable that we put together a little something we like to call a “Cuteness Reel” which properly extols the level of cuteness one can achieve. The DVD is out on Tuesday. “Awww” over the reel today.

We’re very pleased to see Ernest Borgnine receiving a Life Achievement Award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards next week.
