From The Depths Of Africa Comes Black Panther
The latest title in our Marvel Knights series is Black Panther—marking its North American premiere no less! Designated for BET, the series never aired in the United States, making this release doubly exciting for Shout! Creators Reginald Hudlin and John Romita Jr. have crafted a gorgeous story and animated piece, plus the great Stan Lee had his hands on this one as co-executive producer. The DVD offers some fan-pleasing special features, including an interview with Reginald Hudlin and an exclusive music video. Look for the release on January 18.
Roger Corman’s Latest
We have more Roger Corman’s Cult Classics up our sleeves in coming months. As you know, we just released two double features for the ladies: Crazy Mama/The Lady In Red and Big Bad Mama/Big Bad Mama II. What’s coming next? On January 18 look for the underwater double feature of Up From The Depths/Demon Of Paradise as well as Sci-Fi Classics, featuring three drive-in masterpieces in a 2-DVD set: Attack Of The Crab Monsters, War Of The Satellites and the original Not Of This Earth.
Rebooting The Characters Of ReBoot
As we near the highly anticipated release of ReBoot Seasons 1 & 2, we’re pleased to announce that the fan art contest has concluded and the top entries have been selected. Four winners with five submissions were chosen by Brendan McCarthy, the original production designer of Seasons 1–3. Congratulations to Mike R. for his rendition of AndrAIa, Jimmy X., a double winner with his entries of Megabyte and Gigabyte, Erin N. for a fantastic group image of the main characters and Maxwell M. for his Hexadecimal T-shirt design. We received a circuit-load of incredible entries. Thanks to everyone who participated. Look for the Seasons 1 & 2 DVD set on March 1.

Amazon is running a big MP3 sale now that includes some of our favorite holiday titles by Darlene Love, Bootsy Collins and Herb Alpert. We’re talking five-dollar full-album downloads. Head on over!
Want to know how we kicked off the holidays at Shout? We got ourselves all dressed up in our most, um, festive sweaters and held a contest to see whose “festivity” outshone all others. So what if we officially called it the First Annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest? It’s all about the holiday spirit—and the bar was set pretty high this year. Many of us will be scouring the secondhand shops early next year to take over the title.
