Los Nuevo CD Out Now!
Los Lobos’ Tin Can Trust is officially out and available. There’s a ton of activity surrounding the band right now. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, catch them at Amoeba Hollywood this Wednesday, August 25 at 7:00 p.m. Did you see the band on The Tonight Show? The clip is still up if you missed it. Post-Comic-Con
The excitement of the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con is finally wearing down. Certainly you’ve seen the mass coverage in every entertainment nook and cranny. For our part, the Roger Corman panel was amazing. A packed room of 500+ joined our esteemed panelists in discussing the genius that is Roger Corman. Look for footage on an upcoming DVD release in the Roger Corman’s Cult Classics series. We also had loads of fun taking pictures of attendees at our Max Headroom photo booth. Speaking Of Roger Corman . . .
The Roger Corman’s Cult Classics series continues to roll out long-sought-after titles. We just released the original Piranha plus Galaxy Of Terror and Humanoids From The Deep, all on DVD and Blu-ray. In September, look for Star Crash, starring a young David Hasselhoff and a younger Christopher Plummer in a sci-fi thriller that includes cavemen, Amazons and giant robots. It was an instant classic! Oh, and available for the first time ever on DVD and Blu-ray. We’ve loved bringing these titles to you and are thrilled with some of the buzz. Iron Man To The Extreme
Another fun outcome of Comic-Con was that the Tom Kenny (yes, the voice of Spongebob and so many others) made an important announcement for Shout! at the Marvel panel. The second title in our Marvel Comics series will be Iron Man: Extremis, out November 30. This is the DVD debut of this title, and it’s packed with some awesome bonus features, like a conversation with writer Adi Granov, a behind-the-scenes look at Marvel Knights animation, a visual history of Iron Man and more. The DVD, like X-Men: Gifted, is packed in a replica comic-book-style package. You’ll love it.
