Rolling Out The Transformers and G.I. Joe Megasets
Last month we mentioned that we were releasing a 16-DVD set for The Transformers Gen One animated series called “The Matrix Of Leadership” Edition, and it’s now available for preorder at TransformersCollectorsSet.com. We unveiled it at BOTCON to the oohs and ahs of fans and even posed it for photos. We’ve now readied a comparable set for G.I. Joe. The Complete Collector’s Set is a 17-DVD collection housed in a sturdy footlocker box. It includes rub-on tattoos and a 1 GB “dog tag” flash drive with two G.I. Joe “Silent” comics. Visit GIJoeCollectorsSet.com for complete details and to preorder.

This is a great set, and we’re very excited to bring it to the fans. And for those folks heading out to Comic-Con next month, clear your schedules for the Middleman “Lost Episode Table Read” panel, which happens on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. in Room 6A. Speaking Of Comic-Con . . .
We are once again San Diego-bound! This year our big focus is on The Transformers, G.I. Joe, The Middleman and Mystery Science Theater 3000. In addition to the aforementioned Middleman panel, we’re hosting the cast in our booth, #3749, on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. For The Transformers, we’ll have signings by artist Andrew Griffith (artist; 1:00 p.m. Saturday) and Gregg Berger (voice of “Grimlock”; Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.). We’ll also have limited-edition lithograph posters for The Transformers and G.I. Joe as gifts-with-purchase of the two Collector’s Sets. Lastly, we’re hosting a signing for our friends at Micro Werks on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. for their release of Hobgoblins and Hobgoblins 2. More on those titles below.

This And That
Rhett Miller is on the road in support of his brand-new, self-titled CD. He and Old 97’s are playing on the East Coast this week, swinging back to the West in July. Tour dates here.
Zach Galifianakis has received rave reviews for his role in The Hangover. He has two more films completed, G-Force (out 7/24) and Youth In Revolt (out 10/30), plus a slew of others in the works. To help feed your need for more Zach, we invite you to check out Live At The Purple Onion, a piano-driven stand-up (sit-down?) DVD we released. It’s Zach in the raw!
Director Rick Sloane has made some of the worst movies in the history of cinema, and that’s a badge he wears proudly. His 1988 “disasterpiece” Hobgoblins was famous fodder for the MST3K guys. Now the original movie is getting a 20th-anniversary deluxe DVD release, loaded with new extras. But just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he brings us its sequel, cleverly titled Hobgoblins 2. Both films go on sale this week. Note above that there’s a signing for these discs in our booth at Comic-Con.
Check out the new book I Am The Walrus. It’s a beautifully illustrated account of a young man’s exclusive one-on-one interview with John Lennon, complete with candid photographs of John and Yoko and never-before-seen or heard audio and video.
We just launched a thirtysomething Facebook page to feed fans info as we approach the Season One DVD set’s release in August. If you’re on FB, please head over and join!
If you don’t want to miss out on the things that happen at Shout! between newsletters, find us on Facebook and Twitter. We update both throughout the day . . . every day! Come on, we know you want more . . .
