BOTCON Invades Pasadena, And Shout! Is There
We are gearing up for our first-ever BOTCON, which is a convention dedicated solely to all things TRANSFORMERS. This  year’s  event  takes  place  in   Pasadena,  CA,  and will be our first opportunity to unveil the upcoming TRANSFORMERS: Complete First Season DVD and “The Matrix Of Leadership” 16-DVD megaset. Not only will we be in attendance with a booth, we’re also sponsoring the Friday-night film festival. If you’re going to this one, be sure to swing by the booth and say hello. Next up … Comic-Con and JOECON (for G.I. Joe, of course).

Matthew Sweet And Susanna Hoffs Visit The ’70s
The musical pair had such a blast with their 1960s covers album that they’ve reunited to tackle the 1970s with Under The Covers Volume 2. This new set of tunes, out July 21, finds the duo tackling songs by The Grateful Dead (“Sugar Magnolia”), The Raspberries (“Go All The Way”), Carly Simon (“You’re So Vain”), Yes (“I’ve Seen All Good People: Your Move/All Good People”) and many more. There are 16 tracks in all on the CD and a few special guests, including Lindsey Buckingham, Dhani Harrison and Steve Howe. Keep your eyes and ears open for some live events. No one rocks live like Matthew and Susanna!

Rhett Hits The Road
Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller is gearing up for his new solo album release on June 9 by setting some tour dates. Check www.rhettmiller.com/tour for the latest updates on when you can see him live. Perhaps the most exciting stop on his agenda is a performance and Q&A at the GRAMMY® Museum in Los Angeles on June 10. Get your tickets at www.ticketmaster.com. Also... he personally signed a stack of CDs that you can order/pre-order online from Newbury Comics in MA. It’s a great keepsake at no additional cost! There's a 5-per-customer limit, so go wild.

The Continuing Story Of Peyton Place . . . On DVD!
There is no denying that Peyton Place was must-see television when it debuted in 1964. The nighttime serial broke boundaries and set the stage for all that followed, i.e., Falcon Crest, Dynasty, Dallas. Within this seemingly ordinary small town lie deceit, murder, adultery and deep, dark secrets. How could you not want to delve deeper? Based on a popular book and film, the series ran through 1969 and starred a very young Mia Farrow and Ryan O’Neal, plus Dorothy Malone, Ed Nelson and Barbara Parkins. The first 31 episodes are out now in a 5-DVD set and, because it’s so darn addictive, we’re prepping Volume 2 for July 14. It’s just long enough for you to watch the first set and want more, but not too long to keep you hanging. We love Peyton Place, and we know you will too. Watch the trailer here.

The Team History Of The 2008 World Series Champs®
The Philadelphia Phillies® have a long, storied history that began in 1893. Six pennants and two titles later, the team continues to make history, and the eyes of the world will be on the reigning World Series champs throughout this season. There is no better time to celebrate the last 126 years than now with a team retrospective. Phillies® Memories: The Greatest Moments In Philadelphia Phillies™ History is a new DVD chronicling the close calls through the years, unforgettable parades down Broad Street and more. Through archival footage, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage and sound, this is the definitive history of Philadelphia's favorite team. The DVD is out. Now go be a Phanatic!

Call For Fan Art: G.I. Joe
We're putting together a disc focused primarily on the fans and are looking for original G.I. Joe fan art for G.I. Joe Season 2 and the Complete Collector's Set.  The art must be family-friendly, scanned at a minimum of 72 dpi and received by Wednesday, June 3.  You can submit your artwork to sfgijoefanart6@gmail.com.  In your email, please include your name, phone number and alternate email address. Those selected for the disc will be notified via email and will be asked to sign a release acknowledging ownership of the art as well as permission for its inclusion on the disc.

This ’n That

We want to know what you want! Take our online poll and tell us for which show you would most like to see the next season released. Mr. Belvedere and The Paper Chase are currently in the lead, but fans of everything from Rhoda to Ironside are casting their votes. Make your voice heard!
