Mickey Hart Wins a GRAMMY!
Shout! Factory is very proud of our first-ever GRAMMY win. A big congratulations to Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain, Sikiru Adepoju and Giovanni Hidalgo for their phenomenal album, Global Drum Project, which won for Best Contemporary World Music Album.

The Paper Chase: Season One on DVD
The first season of the critically lauded The Paper Chase hits DVD on April 7. The story centers on rural Minnesotan James T. Hart (James Stephens), who is unprepared for the life of a first-year law student at an Ivy League school. In his first class, he elicits the ire of revered and feared professor Charles W. Kingsfield (John Houseman, reprising his Academy Award-winning movie role). Hart is committed to his education and, in order to keep up with the never-ending workload, joins a study group for support. Each episode explores the trials and tribulations, the successes and failures, the competition and camaraderie the students face. The 6-DVD collection includes a whopping 22 one-hour episodes with notable guest stars such as Marilu Henner, Kim Cattrall, Denise Nicholas, Robert Reed, June Havoc and Ken Olin. Debuting in 1978, this is the first time the series is available on DVD.

Fountains Of Wayne Live on DVD
We’re very excited to be releasing the first-ever live Fountains Of Wayne DVD on March 3. No Better Place: Live In Chicago features the band in top form, playing favorites like “Stacy’s Mom,” “Sink To The Bottom” and “Radiation Vibe,” plus 13 other career-spanning tunes. Filmed in October of 2005, this concert was shot for broadcast in a widescreen format and recorded in 5.1 Surround to provide an electrifying home viewing experience. As a bonus, FOW recorded five additional acoustic tracks which are exclusive to this disc.

California Dreams: Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD
This Saturday-morning rocker makes its DVD debut on a 5-disc set. The sitcom revolves around a group of high school friends who are also members of a pop band and is loaded with original music. The set includes two entire seasons, plus a brand-new cast reunion and a video jukebox. The DVD is out March 31.

Johnny Got His Gun Comes to DVD
The controversial antiwar film makes its North American DVD debut on April 28. The film won several awards, including the prestigious Festival de Cannes Grand Prix Special du Jury. Starring Donald Sutherland, Timothy Bottoms and Jason Robards, the film tells the story of a WWI soldier who lies in the hospital having lost both legs and arms. His riveting story is told through his thoughts and memories in a stark exploration of the consequences of war. The Shout! Factory DVD includes new interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, a 1940 radio adaptation starring James Cagney, the Metallica “One” video (which featured clips from the film) and much more.
