New Shout! Store On iTunes
This is big news for us. As of this week, Shout! Factory has an iTunes studio store, hosting not only audio but video downloads too. Newbies to the library include our funnies: Comic Relief: The Greatest And The Latest, Mike Birbiglia’s What I Should Have Said Was Nothing: Tales From My Secret Public Journal, Upright Citizens Brigade: ASSSSCAT, Paul Mooney: Analyzing White America and Zach Galifianakis: Live At The Purple Onion. More titles are scheduled for early August, including Punky Brewster and The Weird Al Show.

Vote on Yahoo! For The Airborne Toxic Event!
The Airborne Toxic Event needs your help … and so do we. In a superhero call to action, we’re imploring everyone to jump in. The band has been chosen for the highly coveted Yahoo! Music Who’s Next Program. Their video for “Sometime Around Midnight” is currently posted and in need of your support. Please click here, watch the fantabulous video, and then give them your vote. Repeatedly. The band that gets the most votes will record a performance for Yahoo! that will be posted on the front of the Yahoo! music page for four weeks. This is a fantastic — and well-deserved — opportunity for the band and the launch of their new record. Thank you!

We Got Your Vinyl ... Right Here
It’s about time that folks started buying vinyl again! Those of us who never gave up on our 12-inch platters clearly feel vindicated for all the years of storage and moving woes. Shout! too is stepping out with the LP format, with new titles like Matthew Sweet’s Sunshine Lies and The Airborne Toxic Event’s self-titled debut releasing with their CD counterparts. And you vinyl junkies will be glad to know that we’ll be dipping into our catalog for cool vinyl reissues too!

Sports Night’s 10th Anniversary DVD
There are a handful of outstanding shows throughout the last decade or so that were canceled before their time. Ironically, Shout! seems to be the home for quite a few: Freaks And Geeks, My So-Called Life… Do you see where we’re going with this? We’re very excited to be adding yet another brilliantly written program to our DVD library: Aaron Sorkin’s initial foray into television, Sports Night: The Complete Series. And we’re releasing it just in time to celebrate its tenth anniversary. We’ve collected all 45 episodes, adding in loads of new interviews and commentaries with Sorkin and castmates Felicity Huffman, Peter Krause and others, along with behind-the-scenes footage and more. Beautifully packaged, it all comes together in an 8-DVD set. Look for it on September 30 or pre-order today.
