1988's Hobgoblins Receives Deluxe Treatment: 6/23/2009 |

Director Rick Sloane has made some of the worst movies in the history of cinema, and that's a badge he wears proudly, for some reason.
His 1988 "disasterpiece," Hobgoblins, was famous fodder for Mystery Science Theater 3000. Now the original movie is getting a 20th anniversary deluxe DVD release, loaded with new extras. But just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he also recently completed a sequel, creatively titled Hobgoblins 2. Both films go on sale today, June 23. While many of you wish the movie business would file for a restraining order against Sloane, there may some gluttons for punishment out there who can't pass up the chance to see these jewels of human endeavor.
