We've considered a number of those shows, but have been unable to get them.

That's too bad.  It's frustrating when a show that has a company willing to give it a shot, won't be licensed out by it's owner.  We as fans can only hope A)  the studio who owns it will release it themselves or B) they eventually change their minds and decide to license it out.  I don't see any signs of the studios who own any of these shows showing any interest in releasing themselves.  There were rumors of TOTGM but so far no word.

If you guys are genuinely interested in trying to acquire any of these titles, I can only hope you will try again at some point.  Persistance does sometimes pay off.

Also forgot to mention some more sci fi cult shows- The Phoenix 1982 & Hard Time on Planet Earth 1989.

There's actually a pretty hard word on TOTGM and that word is "no."  It's far too cost prohibitive for anyone to put it out, apparently, including the studio that holds the rights.

Brian, this is probably too specific for you to answer, but was "Mysterious Ways" (starring "Heroes'" Adrian Pasdar) one you considered and are having problems getting the rights to?

To the best of my knowledge, we did not pursue Mysterious Ways.  I'll look into the information behind it.

That's right, Adrian Pasdar of "Heroes" fame starred in "Mysterious Ways".  I'm not a "Heroes" fan so I didn't even know he is in it.  Well that's definitely a plus for Shout! to try to release "Mysterious Ways".  I've seen a lot of people asking for this show on DVD.  I think it's a cult hit.  I only saw a few episodes but really liked it.  I have no idea who owns it though, it's not listed on tvshowsondvd.  On imdb it lists Lions Gate & Columbia TriStar as distributors.  It's currently 340th requested unrelased rank on tvshowsondvd.  I'd love to see this on DVD.

This is definitely a cult hit.

As for who exactly owns this series, I contacted Crescent Entertainment (the production company behind "Mysterious Ways"), and I was told they believe Lionsgate originally owned the DVD rights.  I did try to get in touch with Lionsgate but never received a reply back from them, which is why I searched and e-mailed Crescent.  They also said they weren't sure if Lionsgate had since licensed it or sold said rights.

I did forward this to Gord Lacey, who said he could try to look into it.

Brian, I would love it if you guys could release this.
