The premise was Allen hosting a discussion show and the guests were people from different eras in history...all of them sitting around the table going at politics, war, religion, passions, motivations, triumphs, failures.
24 one hour episodes were made, and Allen referred to it as a 24 hour university course.
And it would be a major coup if there were one extra: the 1959 segment from Allen's NBC Sunday night show where he first tried out the concept. With any luck, the company that Allen left behind has that kinescope in it's archives. |
