I hope it's true.  If that is really the official Shout! Factory myspace, there's no reason to think that it's a ruse.  In the meantime, I must promptly beg for more episodes.  Home Movies is a show in possession of the intangible "it" quality in an age where many shows are just dumped on the public as a sort of test to see what the public will respond to, if you ask me.  No one did, but that did not stop me anyhow.

Ok, first, YES - it is the official Shout Factory MySpace page, 100%, but the bigger issue at-hand is the question of Home Movies, right? The 'official' story on this is that this is something that Shout has been pondering for a good while, and as much as I wish there was a definitive answer, there isn't. The big issues are that Brandon and Co. are clearly busy with other projects, but more importantly the issue is one of expense. I don't know the actual figures, but the costs invlolved with creating new eposides are astronomical (we're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars for a DVD's worth of episodes), which makes it hard to commit to...not saying it's not gonna happen, but as a business, Shout has to be cautious with how $$ get's spent. It'd be a no-brainer IF we had a broadcast partner in place to kick in for the production of new episodes, but at this particular juncture, we don't. So what's this mean? Hard to say, but everyone can be certain that IF and WHEN we do take the plunge, everybody will know about it - we will shout it out to the world.

So true Sataneats, we can't give up on Home Movies, we have to keep on supporting it until it's reserrected like Futerama or Family Guy
