As much as its bad form to reply to one's own post, just wondered if a release of "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" is something Shout has ever looked into. It seems like the kind of show that would be right up Shout's alley. I realize it's owned by Sony, but it seems like lately these big studios are being a little less anal about licensing shows that they really don't have any interest in releasing themselves. The show only ran for 3 seasons and certainly developed a cult following. Would love to know if this is even a possibility for the future. Thanks. |

This is great news because 1) a great show is finally coming to dvd, and 2) Shout is the company bringing it out. Based on the amazing job you've done with MST3K and SCTV sets, when "Parker Lewis" does get released, I'm sure it will be something fans will be proud to own (and worth the long wait). Factory is, in fact, doing Parker Lewis Can't Lose after my most recent post. Allow me to confirm it here and now. Shout! Factory will be releasing Parker Lewis Can't Lose, beginning with the first season, later this year.
We are currently lining up talent for retrospective interviews and trying to get our hands on as much archival material as possible. I'll let you guys know more, as it happens.

i'm so happy that you guys will release parker lewis on dvd....thats what i was yearning for...
really....
i can't wait to get it in my hands...
so will there be a german version of the dvd with german overdubs?
that would be the dream. but ill guess it's not gonna happen, right?
so if you wanna release it here..i know some companys that would add the german language audio to the dvd...ok?

The commentaries and the retrospective are first rate as are the menus with the refrigerator point of view, and the artwork is terrific. I'm glad Shout gave fans the kind of release the show deserves. Keeping fingers crossed that sales will justify a season 2 release. Thanks again. |
