Member since: 5/8/2008 | | Am I the only one who remembers The Paper Chase?? | | The Paper Chase ran two seasons on network TV in the 1970's then moved to PBS for three more years. It starred John Houseman from the original movie, plus James Stephens as the idealistic law student. The writing, directing and acting were all superb. I loved this show, and have wondered why it's never been available. If anyone knows the inside scoop, I'd love to hear it. |

It ran one year on CBS starting in 1978
Something like two years later PBS ran half of the episodes for that one season.
Then in 1983 it was picked up by Showtime for additional runs of the CBS episodes, as well as three more seasons of new episodes. |
