The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin
I found a dvd of Teddy Ruxpin at walmart for like 5 dollars. I watched the first episode and at the end found out that it was produced by DIC. I was wondering if maybe this could be a future DVD release?

RE: The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin
Mill Creek Entertainment currently has the DVD distribution rights to Teddy Ruxpin and they already have plans for it this year. The first DVD set (The Six Crystals) has already been released. I noticed that some episodes have sound problems, but this probably has more to do with the source tapes than a lack of effort on their part. Plus, they're selling this 20 episode set for about the same price that First National Pictures tried to charge for just 5 episodes. Not bad. It's a little hard to find in most brick and mortar stores, but I know my local Best Buy was carrying it last time I checked.

The second DVD set will be entitled The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin - Mysteries of Hard To Find City and will be released on May 6, 2008. This two-disc DVD set will contain episodes 21 to 40.

The third DVD set will be entitled The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin - Return to Rillonia and will be released on July 22, 2008. This two-disc DVD set will feature episodes 41 to 65.

The complete series box set is slated to be released in October of 2008.

Mill Creek Entertainment also has an e-mail address for Teddy Ruxpin fans to use to contact them. You can e-mail them at TeddyRuxpin@millcreekent.com with your questions about the DVDs.

If it weren't for MCE, I'd would have definately wanted Shout to release the series.
I really liked watching it when I was younger.

RE: The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin

Wow, they're planning a Complete Series box set ?  You don't see that very often for an animated series, unless it only lasted 13 to 26 episodes.  But Teddy Ruxpin was around for a while.

Was tempted by the first quality set that had episodes 1-20, but now that I know it'll all be in one package I'll just wait for that.

This'll definitely be one of the more childish shows I buy, but I really liked the series as a kid (never did get to see one whole complete storyline--they seemed to last forever.  It seemed like one of those shows where they never let the main characters attain their goals).  It had a cool feel to it.

RE: The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin
I strongly recommend checking tvshowsondvd.com for updates on this kind of thing.  The first volume clearly sold well, since the second and third (completing the series) are already well on their way.  They were announced MONTHS in advance of the release, shortly after the first volume came out.  Just a heads up for a great resource to get the right facts about stuff like this, rather than assuming something didn't do well simply because you personally haven't heard anything about it.
