Member since: 3/6/2008 | | Futurama album? | I've been listening to the Simpsons Testify album the last few days, and thinking about how much I would love a Futurama album. Any chance Shout Factory could release one? With the new DVDs, and the show moving to Comedy Central, interest in the show should be at an all time high.
Plus, it had some great music. Anyone else agree? |

It's even possible that Shout! could arrange to release it in conjunction with one of the new DVD movies. With 'The Beast with a Billion Backs', 'Bender's Game', and 'The Wild Green Yonder' coming out later this year, the time is ripe for a Futurama album. Considering that 'Bender's Big Score' (the first of the direct-to-DVD movies) had two new songs in it, it would probably be best if such an album were released around the time of the final movie ('The Wild Green Yonder'), so that all new songs from the movies could be included. Perhaps Shout! could even cut a deal with Wal-Mart, who are known for including soundtrack CDs as promotional bonuses when new movies are released. A lot of food for thought, but I agree that such an album would be a great release, and then there is a fanbase large enough to make the project worthwhile. |
