1. Are the discs single-sided, dual-layered, or are they "flippers"?
2. Are there any extra features besides the inclusion of the pilot movie (thanks very much for including it in the set)?
3. Is the artwork posted at Amazon.com the final artwork for the DVD release?
Thanks for any information that you can provide.

Ironside is very cool series. Shout's release is 8 DVDs. The discs are single-sided DVD9's (dual-layered). We have never released "flippers."
Sorry, no other special features except the movie.
And yes, that's the final artwork on Amazon.
Enjoy!

Many thanks for this information; I've included your comments over at the Home Theater Forum's TV-on-DVD forum where they will be much appreciated.

I would also like to thank Shout Factory for releasing Ironside and including the pilot movie. This was a very well written and acted show that hasn't gotten the exposure it deserves in recent years and I look forward to supporting this release and seeing these episodes again.
If I may please ask a few questions:
(1) Does the licensing arrangement allow for the release of all 8 seasons (assuming that sales warrant further releases)? If so, is there a planned schedule for when subsequent reasons will be released?
(2) Were the masters supplied by Universal the complete, non syndication, versions?
(3) If memory serves, an Ironside episode or two was used to launch the Amy Prentiss series. Assuming the releases make it that far, will this cross over episode be included?
Thank you for your time.

I'd like to add my thanks to Shout! for the Ironside release. I thought I'd never see this under-appreciated show released on DVD. I'm doubly thankful that it's coming from a company that cares about quality. Universal has not shown the same level of commitment to quality with their classic TV releases. I too would like to know if the episodes are uncut. There are other "crossover" episodes- i.e. "The Priest Killer", and "Five Days in the Death of Sgt. Brown". I hope that these will be licensed as well.
Thanks, Todd |

Thank you.
