As of right now, my C.O.P.S. petition will now be opened until February 28th, the second anniversary of the release of the first volume of C.O.P.S. So you all have one month to sign the petition. If you haven't done it yet, please do so! My petition is now up to 265 signatures, thus far. Hopefully, I'll have much more signatures than that by the time the day of the deadline comes around. |

isn't the entire petition counterproductive to your goal?
Sending them a petition that has been around for so long and so few 'legitimate' signatures more or less says there is no audience willing to buy the show doesn't it? |

Petition Report - Deadline is now set. | | i have been a advocating promoter when you came out with your petition, and believe me I want to see the rest COPS put out just has bad as you do, but B ward said months ago that there would have to be thousands of signatures on that petition for it to account for much if anything. if its only got 270 some signatures at this point....i mena really i am all for this, but if only that few have signed it in 11 months, its either a completely futile gesture or it will take a very long time if ever to put that many needed on that petition. i support you though, in all honesty, i think the only thing that will ever make the rest of the episodes on dvd, is for Shout to promote it more....really promote it , not just stick it on as a Shout factory trailer on Shout dvd products. |

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/COPS-The-Complete-Series-on-DVD
I've started this petition on January 23, 2008 and is set to expire on February 28, 2008. If you think my original petition is kind of old and counterproductive then how about this petition from care2.com. Would that petition be legitimate enough for you? If not, what should I do to make it legitimate enough for you guys other than I should limit signatures to those living in the US? I can do that if you want me to. What should I do?

Have you been advertising this petition on every forum you go to? I don't mean just cartoon-related forums. I mean ALL OF THEM.
Personally if I were making this petition, I'd put a link in my sig at any place I joined unless they had a rule against it. |

Member since: 1/10/2007 | | RE: C.O.P.S. Petition Report - Deadline is now set. | I have been trying to spread the word out in every major website out there for a long while now. I've been posting links to my petition on Youtube, Myspace (I had to turn away from myspace because of safety issues plaguing it, but someone who has a myspace account has posted the link on their page so I'm good to go over there.), Google base, craigslist.com, C.O.P.S. fan sites, wiki articles, every bookmarking sites that's available such as Digg, Delicious, and Reddit, my own blogs, even care2.com! I get so frustrated that I try to post my petitions to some forums and they tell me they won't work which I know it's not true depending on what kind of stuff one petitions for. I've been on that petition drive for a year trying to get the word out about it only get drawbacks, setbacks, wanting to make other petitions from other petitioning sites such as care2 in hopes of getting better signatures, feeling unfair that there are other petitions that massively accumulate signatures at a huge fast rate the moment they're first put up while my only receives a small trickle. There are sites that offer easy access to site where I can get a lot of signatures, but I have to pay my way to get into them and I don't want to spend my money on them. The remarks you guys made about my petition being "too old" and "illegitimate" have made me go back and replace the "old" petition links with the "new" care2 petition link. I'm like, "please don't turn me off after what I've been through to build up a reasonable size petition, guys."
Here I am just setting a real reasonable goal of having 5,000 signatures added to the petition by February 28. Does this mean If I have to reissue the gopetition.com petition again to keep it new, I will. Believe me, I am not going to give up the fight until it's won and all 66 episodes of C.O.P.S. gets released on DVD. This I promise you all. |

Even if I have to win the lottery and buy ten thousand copies of the current boxed set I'll find a way to convince Shout. Personally I'm sorta convinced that getting more people to buy the set is going to help far more than signing a petition, but we need to attack at both fronts. |
