| Bio: | Daeyong is a professional freelance trumpeter in Vancouver and all of British Columbia, Canada. He has performed with several symphony orchestras including, Vancouver Island Symphony and Opera Orchestras, North Shore Sinfonia, Canada West Chamber Orchestra, former CBC Radio Orchestra, Prince George Symphony, Pacific Spirit Choir and Orchestra, Vertical Orchestra, and the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra.
In 2010, Daeyong perform a program called In Situ which featured the high acts of Aeriosa and the Vertical Orchestra. This occurred in conjunction with the Vancouver Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games. The audience praised the music and the visual wonder of Aeriosa.
In November 13, 2011, he performed Copland's Quiet City for solo trumpet, solo english horn and string orchestra to great acclaim.
He also performs solo trumpet with organ in West Vancouver United Church and other parishes in the Lower Mainland. He also performs with the concert series called Songs, Strings and Steps.
Daeyong performs with the One Tonne Brass Quintet where they perform at schools, recitals, concerts and universities.
Daeyong teaches private trumpet instruction at his studio in Vancouver and is registered with the Beethoven At Home School of Music.
He has given trumpet lectures, masterclasses and clinics to various high schools, private schools and youth orchestras. |
