Challenge Of The Gobots. Anybody know who has the rights and if they plan to release it?

I think the subject said it all.  I am a huge fan of classic shows and a mega fan of Transformers and remember watching this as a kid and getting the toys of my folks for chrimbo.

It was the poor mans TF.  I know its a bit cheesy but it would be great to watch it again.

I think there was 66 episodes and a movie or two, can remember Battle of the Rocklords

Any info would be appreciated.

I think Warner Bros owns the rights to this show since it's made by Hanna Barbara.

One problem might be that Hasbro now owns the rights to Gobots since they bought Tonka years ago.  They are probably a lot more concerned about Transformers and other things.

That's Warner property. Warner owns ALL Hanna-Barbera properties. Don't hold your breath for a DVD release of GoBots anytime soon...... Meredith65

Didn't the Transformers folks sue GoBots over stealing the idea, and win, and now all GoBots properties became owned by Transformers/Hasbro?

No such lawsuit ever happened.  Hasbro bought Tonka years later.
