Being an 80's child myself I totally agree with you. I didn't even think anyone remembered this show besides me until I searched for it online. I even tried to email Ann through her website and got a repsonse from her husband. He said they get many requests for the show, although they obviously don't own it and can only wait for it to be released. I remember I had a crush on Ann while watching the show. Yeah, it wasn't Emmy type material, but it certainly was amusing and seems to have a cult following. This is the type of show that will probably never see a release unless of course Shout! tries to pick it up, and I really think it would be a great title for them.
Although I don't remember most of the episodes, I remembered the theme song almost word for word for that many years. "I just saw the most beautiful ghost in the world, and she slept here...."
PLEASE Shout!

Me too! I just saw the JSH pilot online, and true it didn't have Emmy-award winning writing, but it still inspires many fond memories to me. Hey I was an '80s kid, I was happy with shows I found funny and/or exciting, and maybe a character or more with powers or a car. And as a boy, a hot woman helped, and Ann was/is certainly one.
This would be the perfect property for Shout!
Also, having been watching The Mary Tyler Moore Show, I was thrilled to recognize Georgia Engel as the mother on JSH.
