They were left off the original releases for legal reasons, per DiC's request, which is why we've never made an effort to release them in subsequent volumes of the DVDs.
Sorry.

Probally your only option for getting them would be to find someone who had recorded them back when they were aired on tv, which suffice to say is probally akin to trying to find a needle in a haystack. |

Yeah the backgrounds did look bad in SMBSS, but the legend of zelda which as we know aired on fridays instead of SMBSS, the backgrounds in that werent crappy, and both were made by DIC |

But I can say the ones that were left off our sets were left off because DiC's legal team asked us to. The difference between those releases and ours? Not sure.

Member since: 4/2/2007 | | RE: Remaining Super Mario Bros Super Show Live Action Segments | Did you ever notice that a few of the live action episodes on the Super Mario Bros Super Show released by Shout would contain a bobbing cartoon Mario head that would cover up the live action actors face? The episode that spoofed Crocodile Dundee I believe used a Mario head on a picture of the real Paul Hogan. |

Member since: 4/2/2007 | | RE: Remaining Super Mario Bros Super Show Live Action Segments | | Oh I completely assumed it was out of Shouts control and something inserted into the masters by DIC. I would rather have an episode slightly edited, or censored than not have it released at all. Were the few damaged frames of SMB3 really that bad....of course not. I am very glad you decided to release the episode :) |

Member since: 2/1/2008 | | RE: Remaining Super Mario Bros Super Show Live Action Segments | | I thought Brian did an awesome job releasing the Whole Nintendo cartoon Collections on DVD I know music was edited and live action segments were cut, But look at Disney's Talespin some episodes were missing cause Baloo was dressed like a woman and there were some some episodes with terrorist type characters that were also missing and Foxs the Tick Your gonna think this is Dumb Episode 15 is missing from the season 2 set Cause the Villian was too much like Galactus from Marvel comics Well that's a really dumb excuse. that's what the show is about Super Hero Rejects DeflateaMouse is a BatMan Reject American Made is a Reject of Wonder Woman it seems like DC comics doesn't mind it but Marvel are a bunch of jerks I've also read a Big part of the moon gets chomped in this episode and the moon has the peice missing through the rest of the series. Another Show Married with Children the end segments are no longer moving in some episodes all you hear is the Audio playing in the background but the character has no movement Cheap. is there any decent DVD Set's out there that isn't butchered like this? |
