Maude was one of the best shows and I was to young to understand it when it was on the air but watching it on Tv Land several yrs ago I have to say it still holds up and the writting and acting were terrific. Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur had chemistry even before The Golden Girls.
Please Shout Factory get the remaming seasons from Sony and complete this amazing show.
Yes, I read the same thing somewhere from a Shout rep which is too bad since "Maude" has been highly sought-after for years. It is running on cable stations like DejaView and Antenna but those episodes are all cut. I really hope something can be worked out eventually. "Maude" and "It's a Living" are my two holy-grail titles.
I agree and Maude got better when Rue mcClanahan became a regular on the series. I have bootleg copies of the entire series and would buy seasons 2-6 if they are ever released and they should be, Maude was such a good show.
True, the set I bought is almost on-par with the S1set in terms of video quality; unfortunately the episodes are edited...and sometimes the best parts are missing (i.e. when Viv opens the door dressed in saran wrap, Maude and Walter's reaction is severely cut).
Thirty Episodes on a 3-DVD Set!
