I have a proposal for SHOUT! Factory: to make a deal with The Muppets Studio, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, for SHOUT! to have the rights to all Muppets & Jim Henson titles on DVD.
As part of SHOUT!'s Muppets & Jim Henson acquisition, which shall commence next Fall, after Lions Gate's distribution rights to Jim Henson Company products (sans Muppets) on DVD expire, SHOUT! will have FULL ownership of The Muppets Studio, LLC & The Jim Henson Company.
The acquisition shall commence next Fall with a DVD compilation titled "The Jim Henson Collection," showcasing 1 episode each of EVERY series produced/created by Jim Henson, past and present, and The Jim Henson Company.

Disney seems to have warmed up to licensing their Muppets Studio characters to other home video companies. |
