I've heard that McMillan and wife may be coming to Blu-ray in remastred HD. Is anyone else interested in this? I personally find it really cool, as I'm getting tiered of watching these classic shows in such low quality on my new TV.

The type of film used for most of the latter half of the 20th century was also prone to extreme color fading and the restoration would be expensive. We are lucky to have near-dvd quality masters that were used for broadcast or dubbed from the originals. |

As I mentioned in other posts, I work at a lab that does both Blu-ray and DVD and the distributor of McMillan and Wife is poking around about putting out at least one season on Blu-ray. They're already putting out The Invisible Man television series from the 70s and I think they were also looking to put out the Mission Impossible television series from the 80s. - For me, the big advantage of Blu-ray is having the entire series on one or two discs, instead of having half a dozen DVDs to sift through.
I'd like to hear if others would like to see this series on Blu-ray... I'll definitely pass the word on if the reaction is positive! |
