Hi, just wanted to say as a fan of the later years of MST3K (I'm sorry but I just can't watch the Joel/Trace years), I was overjoyed to see that website from The Film Crew...especially the news that Mike/Kevin and (especially) Bill were back riffing on bad movies through DVD releases. So naturally I've ordered the first 3 from this very site. I can't wait to try them out. I think I might watch them on Saturday mornings the way I used to when MST3K used to run on the SciFi Channel. Which btw...does anyone think it's ironic that the SciFi Channel has basically replaced that show with movies they would have made fun of?

One question: The website for The Film Crew is down. Is this bad news for the future of their DVDs?

Dear lord, I hope not!  I'll look into it, CLG.  Enjoy those first three movies.  The upcoming fourth, The Giant of Marathon, is my personal favorite.

Welcome to the world of The Film Crew!

Great! I've tried to spread the word. I just mentioned the Film Crew DVDs to a film forum I frequent, and many seem thrilled and surprised they hadn't heard about it. So hopefully that will mean some more sales.

RE: Newbee

I'm a fan of the show (Mike OR Joel's episodes) but just don't care for the ones with Larry (rather than TV's Frank who's just a big cuddly wuddly bear... until you see him in the DVD update for the 10.2 collection; he looks like you'd probably stick to him if you hugged him these days. Ewwwww!)  Something about Larry always grates on my nerves like Jimmy's idiot whining brother from "Teenage Strangler".

I felt that Sci-Fi Channel pretty much stabbed us all in the back when they took MST3K off the air and replaced it with crap that caused me to change the change the channels whenever it came on. And what's with this wrestling garbage?! When the hell did professional wrestling qualify as science fiction?! They aren't wrestling giant robots or monsters from the past or distant worlds. It's the same crappy wrestling you'd get on Spike TV or your local syndicated TV channel on Saturday night. I swear, if it wasn't for "Eureka!", reruns of "Firefly" or "Heroes", and "Who Wants To Be A Superhero", I'd have no reason whatsoever to ever tune into Sci-Fi.

Ironically, the wrestling stuff probably would have made for some good riffing.  Oh well.
