Most of the episodes are clocking in at 48 minutes (although at least one did come in at 50 minutes.) Other shows of the period come in at 50.
Are these tapes from Universal edited, time compressed, both, neither?
I will continue to purchase no matter what the answer, but I would like to know. |

Some episodes, as you surmised, appear to be time compressed/sped up (done by NBC/Universal and not Shout) which accounts for the slightly less running time, but they are indeed unedited and complete. I personally have a hard time telling a time compressed episode from a uncompressed episode unless I time it or I compare the theme music. I was very happy that the song DOWNTOWN remained intact in that particular episode.
Great set all the way around and I've already got S2 on pre-order. |
