query about Transformers: The Headmasters
In one of the discussions on this subject, I brought up the fact that the Metrodome and Madman sets of The Headmasters are NOT uncut (they're missing the pre-title sequences, which sometimes contain important information, as well as episode previews and the commercial bumpers) and asked if Shout was going to look into getting more complete masters.  IIRC, Brian Ward said this would be too costly.

Well, I have a question:

What if somebody were to buy the Japanese DVD-set by Pioneer (which I *think* is completely uncut and also includes a special booklet with some behind-the-scenes trivia) and send that to Shout Factory?  Would they then be able to use the episodes on that set, as masters for their own?

Just thought I'd ask before I go volunteering to make the financial sacrifice.
