Anyone know about 1980s cartoon blocks?
Does anyone know where one would trade 1980 cartoon blocks on dvd with others?

Shipwreck I tried browsing on ioffer before but didn't find anything like a cartoon block from the 70s, 80s that I was looking for. I googled trying to find if there was anyone interested as well but couldn't find anything. It would be great to see some cartoon blocks how they use to air with or without commercials from old vhs tapes converted to dvd. I did find some posts from a few years back where people had some to trade but nothing recent.

Try Myspleen, which is a private bittorent tracker that has a bunch of old stuff from the 80s/90s on there, but you have to be a member to download there stuff, and it's quite hard to join. Youtube's also a good place to check, and it never hurts to visit some tape trading places. TBH, this really isn't the place to ask where to find this stuff. Try retrojunk.

Exhaustingly Fabulous

Thanks for the info mrlol785. I have the same member name at retrojunk and did post it there first on the boards but didn't get a single response. I thought it wouldn't hurt to post it here after being that it is a lot of animation fans from that era. It was a bit off topic from the regular posts I know. I found a lot of forum posts for cartoon blocks from like years ago, but nothing recent. I use to have a few tapes with cartoon blocks but they were too aged and I couldn't get them converted to dvd in time, but it would be great if someone would trade with some stuff I do have.

What kind of cartoon blocks do you have? Myspleen is something that I can be of assistance with.

I have a recommendation.  Buy a 5-disc dvd player(I have a Samsung) and load it up with the shows on dvd so you can watch it in blocks.  I have relived my youth by watching the greatest afterschool animated line up ever created.  From the year 1985 I watched exactly how they aired originally(monday through Friday) Thundercats/G.I. Joe/Transformers.  I plan on compiling the air dates for Voltron(Lion) and He-Man so I can watch those next. It really is a simple process, and with the touch of a button you can skip to the next show with a wait less than a commercial break.

I don't have any cartoon blocks, I just have a few shows here and there which have not been on official dvd yet that are from when they were broadcast. I realize this is not really the place to post for this topic that's why I was asking if anyone knew a site where you could go. Trust me I am all on buying the material from companies like Shout and I would much rather buy something in another official region then buy a bootleg if the show has never been released. I was just looking to do a trade if anyone had a whole block how it use to air with commercials, bumpers etc. Yeah the dvd thing is good and I done that before watching the different shows back to back but I am really just wanting to watch an original broadcast, you can't quite compare the dvd thing to that. I guess you could just watch it like that in youtube clicking here and there, but seeing a whole saturday morning block how it use to air would be great.
