Factory's 2011 DVD Schedule (Tentative) | If I recall it was Cliff who, I think, mentioned that on AV MANIACS, 'cause someone asked him the same question, and, I thought to myself, I gotta put that info on my blog. It was a month ago that he said that, and I have yet to hear any contradictory info. So, for right now, I would presume the April date is good.
As far as I know, no word yet on a pre-order date. I only know as much as Cliff allows me to know, and so far he hasn't mentioned anything yet about a STREETS pre-order. I just check AMAZON every once in a while. Sometimes you get lucky and they have something listed; love Shout! Factory.

I don't know, but it's my sneaking suspicion that it's basicly the same version.
Anchor Bay, since being aquired by STARZ!, has been selling off the rights of it's older genre titles to other companies, basicly to Blue Underground, whose release of the giallo's that Anchor Bay previously released, is the same exact version as Anchor Bay's.
That is why Anchor Bay had dropped in position as one of the companies I look for in my search for older stuff to watch. These days, the only stuff they still have and actively release, genre wise, is the Dario Argento films, the Phantasm collection (sans Part 2), and H.P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator. The last films they released that even harkens back to the pre-STARZ days was the Hardbodies Collection and Spring Break, which gives them points, but those points are taken away due to the fact of the films being originally released by Columbia Pictures.
That is why you're seeing films like Butch and Sundance, Crazy Larry Dirty Mary, and Race With the Devil on the list. And Damnation Alley had long been rumored to be released on DVD for a long, long time. It seems, by it's placement in the schedule, that it may have been intended to be released by Anchor Bay, but they never got around to it.
It's strange, since Shout is releasing Fox films that were previously were released by Anchor Bay, The Pirate Movie is not on the list. It's not a complaint, just an simple observation.

The bits I remember gone were in the prison talent show and included Roberta Collins telling a dirty joke about Pinocchio, so speculation as to a Disney-mandated chop was floated.

I'm hoping some 70's and 80's slasher horror films, including some obscure and lost films are included. I just hope that Bad Dreams and Visiting Hours are put on separate discs, as sometimes having two films on the same disc or on a two-sided disc don't play as well compared to films on separate discs.
Any chance of DVD extras for both films, especially Visiting Hours?

I thought Georgia Peaches was a feature film, but when I checked for it on the IMDb, it actually says it was a pilot for a prposed TV series. Tanya Tucker also starred in a TV film called Amateur Night at the Dixie Bar and Grill (directed by Joel Schumacher). Who owns the rights to this title?

I'd love to see this get a re-release via Shout! Factory so I can add it into my collection. Sellers on Amazon try to sell a brand new copy of the OOP disc for $129.99. Insane!

Cliff mentioned there was difficulty obtaining suitable audio elements for Streets but they have finally been found. The double feature is still coming but it's just been set for a later unannounced date. I can't wait for it either!
