Beyond 2000 and The Next Step

Though they might be outdated because of the technology aspect, and it has been some time, these are two more holy grails I give anything to see again.  And both had awesome opening and closing themes/title sequences.

The Australian series had a number of hosts over the years, and showed what science and technology would be like beyond the next millennium.  Revived as Beyond Tomorrow five years ago, this paled in comparison to its predecessors.  The only highlight was seeing them use an old clip (though stretched) from the original series.

Here's the history on this long-running and groundbreaking series:

In fact, I think Beyond 2000 might appeal to Max Headroom fans.  I would love to see again, as well, the Henry Tenenbaum-presented American version that aired on the Discovery Channel in the '90s, which was paired with The Next Step.

"We're taking the next step in technology."

The Next Step (first airing on KRON-TV) was host and creator Richard Hart and The Discovery Channel's highest rated series, which dealt with the latest gadgets and technology.  It ran in the early to mid-'90s.

Brian, I'm taking another shot at the roulette wheel here (for a third and fourth time) hoping they sound familiar to you.  I had previously brought them up two years ago on another forum to someone who formerly worked at BCI, but felt these titles would be outside their comfort zone and might not be able to properly market and or sell.  They were the watercooler of science and technology shows of their day and rivals anything that is now currently on the Discovery Networks.
