I don't know how that happened I thought Brian said they couldn't be released?

They actually gave the episodes a boost, such as hearing "Shadap Yo Face" in "The Great Gladiator Gig", hearing "Shut Down" in "The Great BMX Race", hearing "Great Balls of Fire" in "'The Fire of Hercufleas", and hearing "Kung Fu Fighting" in "Karate Koopa".

As a kid I never got to see the show until it was on cable years later and by that point the songs had been replaced anyway. It's just what i'm used to.

Granted I got the sets when they first came out, but they have them on there. SMB3 never had live action segments, nor did World, but my first two volumes (the complete SMBSS) has them.

I believe it's 12 segments missing. it's sad. |

Manny, nobody cares about closing logos, so stop it! Also, don't put everything in bold, it's not important, just textual ********.

Member since: 5/15/2010 | | RE: Uncut The Super Mario Bros. Super Show on hulu | The reason end logos are often different is because when doing a release like this, they go to the best (and sometimes only) copies still available.
20+ years ago when these titles originally were broadcast, no one ever thought a couple of decades later people would still be interested and/or buying complete series on a technology that didn't exist yet. Therefore, a lot of shows were not kept in their original form. This is the fault of the owners of the shows not being forward-thinking enough. It's also the reason for music replacements - back when the deals were made to use popular songs in shows it was unheard of to release an entire series for purchase by the public, so they deals were for broadcast only.
For example, we'll *never* see He-Man and She-ra as they were originally broadcast in the US. The US (NTSC) masters were destroyed, so the only remaining copies of those shows is in PAL, which runs 4% faster than NTSC. When they were released on DVD, at least at the time there was no way to slow them down that 4% without reducing the video quality, so we were stuck with versions that run 1/25th faster than originally broadcast - a small amount, but it is noticable sometimes, mostly in the pitch of certain audio.
With logos, companies change hands/logos and it seems the "best" copies (or again, the only copies) had the later logo. This is quite, quite common and pretty much unavoidable (which is why I was pleasantly surprised the Facts of Life DVDs have the original logos) but since they don't affect the actual content of the episodes, this is perfectly acceptable to most people. |

Thank you for pointing that out. Alot of people forget or don't realise these things when dealing with older shows. It's unfair to place the blame on companies like shout factory for certain things.

So Brian (if you're reading this), what exactly DID stop you guys from putting those shorts on DVD? Where the actors so embarrassed by them that they wrote in requesting that you leave those off the set?
