As I said in another thread, it would be a good release for May 2011 when Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens. Shout! would need to buy the rights from WB.
It looks like Warner Achive will be releasing this on 8/31 as well as Thundarr and Josie & the Pussycats in Outer Space in September. I think there will also be some more animated titles announced soon by them.
There is no more worring, becuase Warner Archive has announced via their Twitter feed that Pirates of Dark Water will be released on DVD on August 31, 2010, with pre-orders accepted starting Thursday of Friday. These DVDs will be burned on demand (legally, of course) with no bonus features.
But hey, a DVD release on demand is WAY BETTER than no release at all!
Hopefully this PODW news means we'll see volume 2 of Silverhawks from WB with their MOD program. What's also interesting is that Cookie Jar has teamed up with Mill Creek to release the complete series of Horseland (have no idea what it is) but maybe we'll see those two team up for a Joe DiC complete series release.....I am digressing.
