Dang, I was totally wrong again! I think my problem last time was picking too many Public Domain episodes and not enough fan favorites. Well, here goes my next guesses, for what it's worth.

201: Rocketship X-M. I'm still going with this one. I think it deserves to be on dvd, and it definitly can be.

510: The Painted Hills. Because it's a season 5 episode, and this one seems to be easy to get, to help get all of season 5 on dvd.

618: High School Big Shot. Why not?

817: Horror of Party Beach. People have been guessing this one for awhile, so it should come out soon.

Vol. 19 was missing a "gem" episode (an episode that the Mstie community ranks very high). The highest ranked was "Devil Doll" at #68. So I'm saying that the "gem" of the next one will be either "Day Earth Froze" #17, "Deathstalker" #28, or "Track of the Moon Beast" #37. And since this is volume 20, It's not out of the realm of possibility that we get all three!

We also need a Season Two episode instead of Season One this time, and it needs to be an unpopular one to balance everything out. So I'll add either "Rocketship X-M" or "Rocket Attack USA".

So, I'm saying
205: "Rocket Attack USA" or 201: "Rocketship X-M"
422: "Day Earth Froze"
703: "Deathstalker"
1007: "Track of the Moon Beast"

XIX may be missing a gem ep, but I was kinda hoping Devil Fish would come out sometime (there's a number of lines from that ep that stick in my mind).

-422 (The Day the Earth Froze) or 323 (Castle of Fu Manchu)

-610 (The Violent Years) or 618 (High School Big Shot)

Most of these guesses are based on what people have been asking for/guessing.

My personal wish list at this moment, however:

But what's so wrong with "Rocket Attack USA"?  I actually liked that one a lot.

Well, one out of four is...kinda sad, but no matter, I'm guessing again!

There's bound to be a bit of a mystique around it being #20, and there will likely be a push to get a big ep or two in the set if possible.  That said, it would make perfect sense to have another Corinth film.  I'm going to bank on not having issues with the Canadian rights for #201 - Rocketship XM, simply because they have a 1st season ep in this upcoming set.  (Otherwise, #109 Project Moonbase is a likely sub.)

Another Mosfilms production would seem possible, so #422 - The Day the Earth Froze seems like a good fit for the 2nd Joel.

I'm guessing we won't go 2 sets in a row without a CC-Era Mike ep, so I'll choose #702 - The Brute Man, especially since it's an Image Entertainment title, and it would mean half of season 7 would be out.

And there's been so much clambor for #817 - Horror of Party Beach that I'm guessing they'll be trying their best to release it.

Also, with the next set, over half of all episodes (not counting the KTMA years) will have been released.  Thank you Rhino for getting the ball rolling, and thanks Shout! Factory for keeping it rolling the right way.

The Last Chase would be a nice bonus if Shout could get Joel and Jim to say yes to releasing KTMA eps.

You'd think that, with the number of titles dwindling with every new release, guessing what's next would be easier, but somehow it never is!   However, the speculation aspect is always alot of fun, regardless of how many titles you guess correct, so I will take my own stab at it:

205 Rocket Attack U.S.A. -  I've had this one on a number of sets, but I'm not ashamed to insist that it will wind up on a box set someday. So why not Volume XX?  This is arguably my fave S2 episode, so I'd love it see the light of a dvd player too!

420 Human Duplicators - This is one of those titles that rarely gets mentioned, because it's overshadowed by the great eps before and after it in S4, but I think it could make this set because SF may be saving the "bigger" titles for Volume XXV. This is the only S4 ep I don't have; somehow, my copy got recorded over before I could pull the tag off of the VHS tape to prevent recording.   So this "lost" episode would be a welcome addition to my collection.

618 High School Big Shot - I'm very surprised this hasn't made a box set yet. From all accounts, it wouldn't be expensive to get, it's a sleeper in a very popular season, and it's got a great short before it ("Out of this World").  It may depress Frank Conniff to no end, but I think it's a very funny episode.

817 Horror of Party Beach - SF seems to be placating the Sci-Fi era fans of the show lately, and I think they will continue to do so with this choice.  I recently watched it and had forgotten how funny an episode this was. Even if it doesn't make this set, I honestly think we will see an MST version of it on commercial dvd before too long. 

So there it is. There aren't any themes in this box set; I think the whole "Monsters and Devils" thing for Vol. XIX was more by chance than any planning SF had in mind.  But this is one set I would buy in a heartbeat, as long as the debacle that was Lost Continent and BoYF was avoided.

I've always liked "The Human Duplicators" - I kinda wish some of these'd get released unMSTied 'cause many of these movies are not on DVD at all.

It makes sense so many of the first shows on SciFi were Universal-owned, since SciFi is part of Universal.  I'd imagine they said, "Well, we're relaunching the show, let's start it off with some good fodder."

Hey Brian, gret job with the DVDs, keep em comin.  I just was wondering how fast you guys usually lock up titles for upcoming DVD sets.  For example, Volume XX, do you guys at Shout already have four selected and locked up or are you picking from a list of possibilities and narrowing the list down to the most likely.  haha I guess I'm just wondering if you have an idea already of what titles will be on volume XX or whether its still too early to tell, I know we won't find out until volume XIX comes out but just wondering how fast the process goes and whether it gets more difficult as the volumes go on due to the short list of tiles remaining. Thanks and keep the cult shows coming.

The skits were funny, the riffs were great, the movie itself was actually (somewhat) watchable on it's own... Screw the fact that it has some Air Force colonel doing all of the work of the fighter pilots in the air AND the soldiers who were supposed to be taking out the monster in the tunnel in New York (and apparently was the only person who could do the job, so I guess it's okay that he abandoned his command in Alaska or wherever the hell he was to date the female Bert Lahr in Washington DC and New York City and save the East Coast single-handedly doing jobs he wasn't qualified to do.)

But hey, that's '50s Hollywood. They didn't have weird, pointless things like "technical advisors" back then. And you know what? That's what makes for the best B-Movies! Idiots pulling plots and characters out of their butts and just running with them and Continuity and Common Sense be damned!!

Whether you like the episode or not, 109 Project Moon base will definatly be released. The question is whether it will be on the next set or the one after that or so on. Rocketship X-M is also pretty likely. The rest of the Rusco films are also up for grabs. So...

Slight correction: Godzilla vs. Megalon was released on the short-lived Volume 10 by Rhino, Godzilla vs the Sea Monster has not seen (nor likely will see in the near future) DVD release.

This may be a longshot but... there were 4 Tsuburaya episodes. Mabye Shout was able to convince them to release the set and the condition was they have to be released together or something.

Or mabye the Sam Arkoff Library.

I'm gonna guess that the 4th one that nobody's guessed on this thread yet is "Gorgo."

Actually Gorgo has been guessed (theoretically) in this thread.

Brian, it almost sounds like you were thinking of replacing all of Vol. XX when you say that you couldn't replace the other 2 because you'd already started production on them.

Oh, WOW - so Satellite News has made the announcement.  Project Moonbase! (knew there had to be a season one), Master Ninja I AND II, and The Majic Voyage of Sinbad!  An all-Joel set!  I like it!

(and every guess I made was completely wrong...)

According to the almighty Likelihood list by Travis over on the MST3K board, Sony is mentioned referencing 401 - Space Travelers, 522 - Teenage Crimewave, 524 - 12 to the Moon, and (by way of Toho, so don't hold your breath) 213 - Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster.  Which is not to say that any of these movies have anything to do with set XXI or any other set, but if Sony's movies just came into play, these are most likely the eps involved.  Which would be kind of cool, because I do enjoy Teenage Crimewave's host segments.

Hmmmm All Joel box set followed by a announcement that may not have anything to do witha future box set.....
