Unsolved Mysteries
I know that there have been some already released but I was less than pleased. It just made me want to watch the complete series more.

Is there any chance at releasing season sets of Unsolved Mysteries?

RE: Unsolved Mysteries

Shout will probably denounce this for the same reasons they don't release IN SEARCH OF...

But I love the UNSOLVED MYSTERIES dvds. If whole seasons can't be released, I'd love for some more segment DVDs. Like STRANGE LEGENDS, VOLUME 2 and etc.

RE: Unsolved Mysteries
I recently sent the following e-mail to Shout! Factory...

"Please consider obtaining the rights to and releasing DVD sets of Unsolved Mysteries.  The existing themed DVD sets by First Look Entertainment were a good start, but fans like myself want more (and a more comprehensive release) of this great show.  Either theme sets like the First Look releases or original season sets as the segments originally aired would be fine, as long as all original music and graphics are left in tact.

It's worth noting that most fans would ONLY want...

- The original episodes and segments featuring host original Unsolved Mysteries host Robert Stack.
- The inclusion of the original opening and closing theme music (utilizing the original "warning" screen... "This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events.  What you are about to see is not a news broadcast." would be a cool bonus).

This was such a cool and often creepy show.  It deserves a much better DVD release than it has gotten.  Hopefully, you guys will put this one on your radar, and make it happen.  Thank you for your time, and thank you for such great releases.  Looking forward to many future releases (and hopefully, Unsolved Mysteries)!

Wes"

I received the following response back from Shout! Factory...

Hi Wes,

Thanks for being a fan!

As of this moment, that title has not found a home with us.

I will forward your suggestion along to the appropriate dept.
Please check back with us in a few months.

Our site is re-launching in the coming month.
That may be a good time to check.

We appreciate you asking!

Not the best answer in the world, but certainly not the worst, either.  First Look did a decent job with their releases, but there were many, many segments from the original series that weren't included.

Other things First Look could've done better... utilizing the show's CREEPY opening theme music and credits sequence.

And, while the "Bizarre Murders" set was a step in the right direction, I would've liked to have seen more segments dealing with disappearances, murders, bank robberies, con men, etc.  I think Shout! would do this show justice.  Hopefully, they will inquire with Cosgrove/Meurer Productions about obtaining this show for future DVD releases.
