Dear Brian,

I am writing to you in the hopes of fixing a problem. I've sent this email to your customer service, technical support, and your info departments, but I haven't heard a reply from anyone. You're the last person I can think of to ask for help.  I realize you are very busy, and that this request is way below you're pay grade and job description, but you have been so helpful to all the Shout! fans on these boards for so many years. You are our CHAMPION.  You really ARE Shout! Factory.  If anyone can do this...it's you!  Okay, I hope the buttering up wasn't to over the top (even thought it's all true). 

I have never had a problem with any of my previous Shout! Factory purchases, and I take very great pride in my Shout! DVD collection. I have spent several hundreds of dollars purchasing your items. I have the entire McHale's Navy series - Seasons 1-4, Mister Ed - Seasons 1-3, Mr. Belvedere - Seasons 1-3, and The Transformers 25th Anniversary Matrix Of Leadership Box Set. I am such a TV fan that I keep all of these sets in pristine condition. However, I have a problem with my recent purchase of The Transformers Matrix Of Leadership set.

All 16 DVD's play perfect, and I absolutely love the packaging, but the second case that holds Discs 5-8 had some amount of sticky residue over both sides of this cover. I'm not sure if it was from the several little circular blobs of glue holding the outside thin cardboard cover to the box that might have gotten inside while I was opening the set. Anyway, I got a lightly damp cloth to wipe it off and was horrified to see that the wiping caused most of the ink/paint to come right off. Half of the Megatron image is now completely gone and a lot of the ink to the back of this cover that lists the discs' contents has also disappeared. The other 3 cases holding the rest of the discs are perfect, but now I have this 1 horrible cover.

I have never made a request like this before, and it seems a little odd, but again, I take great pride in my TV DVD sets, and this cover now looks absolutely horrible. And to make matters worse, I purchased this set at a retail store on 4/14/10 and they only have a 30 day return policy. But because this set is so large, I just recently had the time to finish reviewing the whole set (DVDs,book, art work, covers, etc) and discovered the sticky goo, and tried to wipe the cover. So I cannot return the set now. I was wondering if there was anyway you could please send me another of these Megatron covers that holds discs 5-8.

I would be more than willing to pay you for shipping and handling and any other fees you see fit to get this cover. You see I am a completist, and this really means a lot to me to be able to display and show off all 4 DVD cases of my Shout! Factory Transformers Matrix Of Leadership set. If you need to, you can have someone from your staff email me back with their email address and I can send you a copy of my sales receipt and a picture of my damaged DVD box cover, and also if you want, I can even mail you back the damaged cover. Thank you so, so, so much for any help you can give me to resolve this. I will be forever grateful to you and Shout Factory!  My Champion!
