It's looking so up that I can tell you to expect it in stores by early 2008.  I've officially kicked off production.  Stay tuned for details.

Hi Brian, I'm a new member and a "Wheelie" (aka "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" fan. I have read earlier today about "Jayce" possibilities on DVD. While I am excited about it, I am hoping that the complete series (all 65 eps) will be released on DVD. What do you think the chances are of a complete "Jayce" series (in any form) on DVD? Thanks, Meredith

RE: Jayce and the wheeled warriors
Well, Meredith, that all depends.  To be honest, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors has a little bit of a disadvantage, in that, the series is so old, many of its original fans may have forgotten about it.  Sadly, though popular, the toy line on which it was based wasn't as popular as the more successful G.I. Joe or Transformers toys of the time.

I would say it all depends on two things... 1.) How many volumes we're able to release.  There is less of a chance of three volumes selling well than there are of two, so if I could get all 65 episodes onto two volumes, that would be preferred.  But that depends on a number of factors... and 2.) How well that first volume sells.  If the fans come out of the woodwork and pick up the set, I'd say the chances are good.  Because the fans are sometimes hard to reach, I'm relying on the fan community to get out there and promote the set the way the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic fans did.  This is a title, like C.O.P.S., that needs that kind of push by the fans!

I have my fingers crossed that it happens!  But it's partially up to you guys.

I think 2 volumes (32 or 33 eps on Vol 1 and the rest on Vol 2) of "Jayce" would be great!! Even if a first volume dosen't sell well, can you make ME a second volume with all the rest???? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!! Meredith65

No earth-shattering news, yet.  Just received the masters and am having those QCed to make sure everything is A-OK.  Also analyzing our bonus material content.  We'll see what we can throw on there.

Some times sets dnt sell well because people are waiting for the entire series to be released or they want to be sure the rest of the series is coming out so they dnt waste tehre money getting half a show mayeb you could look into makign this a compe,te series release? never know it might be very poplour in that format but i would liek to see it as 2 vols but the episode quailty noot comprised by squuezzing it onto less disc that would be for 3 vols

Believe me, I'm well aware of the problems with releasing TV shows in volumes or seasons vs. the complete series.  Unfortunately, we don't have the money to invest in a bunch of complete series sets and you, trust me, don't want to pay what it would cost to get a 65-episode series.  It's just not affordable on either side.  We'd go out of business and you'd be saving up for a cartoon or deciding not to buy it at all because you think it's ridiculously expensive.

That is, however, why we've chosen to release complete seasons instead of Best Ofs for the most part.

I too would prefer to buy complete series but don't mind buying it in two or three vol sets (4 discs each set) if they defintely get released there is nothing worse then owning part of a show.

However my question is will this be getting a UK release?

They're not pretty, but we're doing everything we can to restore them.  I think they're actually going to look pretty good when we're done.  Remember, this is one of the oldest shows we've done with DiC, so the age will most likely show to some degree.  Still, I take pride in my work and won't release something that just looks horrible.  Never fear!

RE: Jayce and the wheeled warriors

hi b ward .

will it be a multiple region release or just a region 1 release. I cant wait till it comes out but hopefully i can get it on a region 2.

I bought my so called life on region 2 and it rocks thanks for bringing back such great shows, because non of these shows even get a repeat on tv which is very sad.

WooHoo! Just read in TVSHOWSONDVD.COM about the planned release of the first Volume of Jayce!!! So the first batch of episodes will be on 4 discs, and it has been billed "Volume 1". Can't wait for March 25th (planned release day). Sounds like the extras are cool: a couple of scripts, including the very first episode and "Steel Against Shadow" (J. Michael Stracynski's first Jayce ep). Please keep up the great work, and Happy Holidays!!! Meredith65

according to wikipedia there were plans for a Jayce and the wheeled warriors movie which would have brought closure to the series, can you confirm the truth of such a plan and if so will there a be any features relating to this.

RE: How well did Jayce Vol. 1 sell?
Unfortunately, as noted with other titles, we can't divulge any information as to how well a DVD set did or didn't sell. I will say that if/when we announce volume 2, you'll know it sold well enough.

Sorry. Just the nature of the biz, I'm afraid.
