The three guys, sans bots, are absolutely terrific together in their real personas, and I'm glad they get the chance to do a sketch or two in addition to the movie commentary: love the "lunch break" sequence. Their comments are as laugh-out-loud funny as they ever were in MST, plus they're not as limited as they were on TV, so there are some hilariously racy jokes, too. This is a beautifully awful movie, perfect fodder for these guys, and they're in top form.
Thank you, Shout Factory! It's like being reunited with three old friends I've been missing for years. Can't wait to see more.

You can see a preview of all the films and even participate in a Q&A with the guys exclusively at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego. See the program guide at the Comic-Con website for complete details.

I love these guys. The Sci-Fi Channel era of Mystery Science Theater 3000 has always been my favourite and the three of them gel well together. I've been buying all the Rifftraxs MP3s they have done to movies I own. What I would do to meet them.
I'm actually glad that Shout!Factory is behind these guys. I've never really been too fond of Rhino. The highly expensive boxset prices and the constant goofs they make with their DVDs, MST3K especially. And I've heard that The Film Crew idea was actually pitched to Rhino, but they said it was too big a risk. Well if that were the case, then I'm glad Shout!Factory has the balls to risk it.
I just hope The Film Crew sells well enough for it to continue. There are plenty of horrid and not so horrid movies these guys can provide a commentary track for. |

We'd like to make this a long-running thing, not just because of who these guys are and their popularity, but because of how much fun these titles are to produce. Let Rhino release the old stuff. We're producing new stuff and I think it's even better!

This movie is beyond awful. Peter Graves rushes haplessly around in front of huge filmed insects for about five solid minutes at one point. But do those guys make it funny. Oh man.
Definitely ordering this. |

Shout!Factory and the guys have done a great job with this and I really do hope it continues. I'm gonna try and help promote The Film Crew by leaving reviews and anything else I can.
I've now ordered Killers From Space and pre-ordered the other two. Looking forward to seeing them.
Choosing between cake and death is easy. Choosing between GODZILLA VS MEGALON and death is not. |

Terrific episode. But I'd say GIANT OF MARATHON is my favorite too. I voted for that one before any were released. Saldy it wasn't first. |
