Mr. Brian Ward, are there any plans to release this at all? Or has it been looked into? |

At any rate I want Rhoda to be completed ALL FIVE SEASONS. And I hope for both seasons of Phyllis too! |

It would go great next to my Rhoda DVDs! | | I just noticed that between this line of "Phyllis" posts and the ones on the "Phyllis on DVD" posts, "Phyllis" is the 3rd most talked about show in Shout Factory's "TV From the '70s" folder, behind Rhoda at #1 and Maude at #2. Since Rhoda will nearly complete its DVD run by the end of the year, that bumps "Phyllis" up to #2 (of all '70s shows) behind "Maude" [and only behind by 3 posts]. So, Shout Factory, I hope you're paying attention to what shows are being talked about more than any other shows, and the fact that "Phyllis" is one of the two most highly wanted '70s shows on DVD - and that you'll start releasing "Phyllis" soon! |

I preferred the photo studio setting of season1 as to the office setting of season2.
I'm sure Shout will go ahead with Phyllis on DVD soon,I hope!

I assume that the same studio owns both "Rhoda" and "Phyllis" (probably a company under the MTM umbrella.) One can then deduce that this studio wants to make money licensing "Rhoda" to Shout Factory but doesn't want to make money licensing "Phyllis" to you! Why would they care which shows they make money from? And given the choice of making zero dollars (not licensing "Phyllis" to Shout Factory) or making money (licensing it), why on Earth would any company choose the option of making zero dollars? I just don't get how any company would think it's a wise business decision to NOT sell/license their products ... especially when someone's asking for it. Maybe Shout Factory can push this company a bit more to license it ... after all, you've probably got a good relationship, having licensed "Rhoda" from them. |

It would go great next to my Rhoda DVDs! | | This is in no way a dispute to Brian's comments, but I do find it strange that Fox would be so willing to license out "Rhoda" which was the much bigger, longer-running hit of the two, yet seem so tight-fisted and unwilling to let "Phyllis" go. Perhaps they plan on a MOD release sometime in the future? |
