Can't they ever dig into the secret plans of Sony, Warner Bros, Fox, Paramount, or Universal?

That is THE website for TV on DVD info. News from that site has made my day many times  (and also from here at Shout too of course  ).

Many times I've read the news elsewhere before they post it. It used to be that they were the first to report some big news. Maybe their contacts/studio connections have gone sour. I know many studios aren't completely forthright with news either. So it's not entirely their fault. However, I do know that they also hold certain bits of news until confirmed and by the time they get confirmation, the news has already spread all over the web. But I have to say I've seen a decline in their posts compared to how quick they used to post. |

The problem is with all those companies: Sony-Warner-Fox-CBS/Paramount-Universal, stalling or not releasing or not revealing plans for so many shows desired by fans.
But unless its a Shout! release, (which is a great info. source too!), I always find out FIRST from TVSODVD, when something is finally announced! |

Are there rights/clearences issues? 3. What about bonus features? 4. What is the production cost going to be?(meaning how many discs will it take to put this out at a more than decent bitrate) 5. How well will it sell? We live in a capitalist society, so in the end everything comes down to the money. |
