I started the last petition way back in 2006 and found the company as a whole to be much more co-operative (or they were just sick of hearing from me). They agreed to release the Complete First Season after I only collected approximately 300 signatures.
I just received a letter from Mr. Rashba, co-executive officer of Sony Entertainment Television Division. Mr. Rashba states that he doesn't plan on releasing further seasons of The Rookies to DVD format because there's 'just not enough of a market out there' to warrant the expense of converting the whole season to DVD. Mr. Rashba did mention trying to work out an arrangement by which The Rookies television show would become available to watch on such websites like Hulu (no word as to any cost to the consumer).
I still feel that there is a big enough market and if we can all band together, we can show Sony Entertainment that we Rookie fans can't be pushed around. So please sign my petition. This address is below. Thank you.

People don't always sign petitions but that doesn't mean they won't buy the product, I've bought releases I didn't sign petitions for so that means that whether a pettion gets many signatures or not there is an audience for it that will purchase, regardless if they signed anything or not. Which of course is good news for fans with petitions in general, as cult TV fans tend to be loyal and buy many classic shows.
