Mr. Belvedere could be a great title for someone like Shout! Factory.  I'll certainly look into it, but can't make any promises.  Older sitcoms aren't selling all that well in the DVD world.  We'll see...

Brian, thanks for at least looking into it.  I'm sure Shout! Factory would do a wonderful job with "Mr Belvedere." I would love to see you guys get it so it could be done properly.

I really think this show would sell well.  As for today it is the # 50th requested unreleased show on tvshowsondvd.com.

Brian you rock!  Shout! Factory rocks!

I know there are no guarantees and I'm not getting my hopes up, but thanks for at least looking into it.  I really hope Shout! Factory decides to get this and release it.  I know you guys would do a terrific job.  I really think this could be a pretty decent seller for Shout!.

Hello! I registered on this site specifically to add my voice, as another one who would like to see Mr. Belvedere on DVD. I run a Mr. Belvedere site here: http://geocities.com/mrbeaverfalls/, which has been online in various forms and addresses since 1998. I haven't updated the site in a while though, but I will soon and link to this forum so that other Mr. Belvedere fans can participate. Thanks very much for at least considering it, and as far as I'm concerned, that's two box sets already sold. Have you seen the Mr. Belvedere DVD page on Amazon.com? A lot of enthusiastic endorsements over there as well.

There could be good news coming up on this one. It's not definite, but a good possibility.

I certainly hope it comes out out DVD!!!  I just found it and I only turned 3 in 1985, so I didn't see it at all!  I'm loving it!  There are only two episodes over at Daily Motion - the first episode and the first Halloween episode.  I need to see more!!!  I'm loving the show!

I am a super fan of Mr. Belvedere, in fact- I had asked for the box set for a holiday gift and was surprised to see that it isn't available.  Especially when current shows, such as Family Guy, references the theme song.  The baby Stewie is complaining that the family is making too much noise while he's trying to watch and then he starts singing the song.  Got a lot of interest back up.

Keeping my eyes peeled on Shout Factory!!!  Thanks for considering!

Just watched the two shows on Daily Motion.  I remember reading in Jay Moore's book "Gasping for Airtime" that Adam Sandler told a funny story about the having been on the show, so that alone could be worth the price of the dvd.

I am very pleased to hear that Mr Belvedere is finally coming to DVD.  Thank you so much for listening to fans Shout! Factory.  I just want to make sure the episodes on the release will not be syndicated edits.  I read that the set will be the 29 episodes from the first two seasons with a runtime of 660 minutes.  That comes out to about 22.75 minutes on average per episode.  Have you guys checked to make sure these are the original network episodes?  I have faith in you guys but don't want to be disappointed.  Thanks.

TV_FAN said on another board that Shout avoids using edited episodes whenever possible. He also said that they learned their lesson over the complaints regarding season 1's "Father Knows Best", so edited episodes shouldn't be an issue here.

But just to be sure, Garson Foos, B. Ward, or anyone from Shout, can you please confirm if the episodes on the DVD will be edited or unedited?

RE: Mr Belvedere

Yes, please anyone from Shout!.  Can you assure us these will be the unedited original network episodes & not syndicated prints.  If the 660 runtime is to be believed than that translates to roughly 22 minutes 45 seconds per episode.  Episodes from this time period should run 23-24 minutes, closer to 23 minutes.  I'm hoping the 660 is just some type of average.  I know nothing official has been said yet, but we fans have waited for this set for a long time and we don't want to see it ruined.  I do have faith in you guys at Shout! but some official word that the episodes have been checked to make sure they're complete would put a lot of minds to ease.
