I still think they should be able to go back to whoever has the masters and get a new copy.  If there was a bad transfer, than they should be able to get a new one with no problem.  The issue may have been caught too late in the process for it to get replaced for the original release date.  I can understand that part.  They don't want to miss the street date, obviously.  However,  they should go back and make a replacement disc for those that want them.

It's a shame that there were problems with the master copy.

You posted on the Toon Zone forums about whether there is a Region 2 release and whether it was fixed. Unforunately, the last disc was only released in Germany compared to the other 3, but I have some good news. When it was aired on POP (a UK channel), there were no black outs (that I could see of) on Super Koopa. Most likely be the same with the Australian R4 boxset. Can anyone tell me the times (excluding the intro, credits time) of these blackouts so I can vertify them on my POP recordings?

There is a problem with their copy from the master which is not in their possesion, not with the master itself.  Therefore, if they got a new copy of the master, they would be able to make a new replacement disc.  Sounds to me like they didn't want to miss deadlines for the release, so they released it with the flaws.  I still think they should go back and tell the owner of the master that they gave them a subpar copy and ask for a new one, so replacement disc can be offered to those that want them.  I'm not happy with a another flawed release and stuff like this does affect my future buying habits.

I know Ward has confirmed that there were digital glitches in the copy used, i'm not disputing that, but what i dont understand is, is why some people on this forum, myself included are having no problems with the disc, and others are? Cause i have watched the episode, there are no glitches, skips, blackouts, grey-outs, or anything like that.....how can that be if the copy use to make the dvds had a glitch in it?

Actually, there's more than one original master. There's a Domestic version and a Foreign Version (thanks to AoSTH UK Boxset on the Full-Tilt Tails episode). I guess that a copy of the SMB3 masters would be sent to NBC, then to USA Network rather like AoSTH having a POP copy (digitalised, glitches in Last Resort and Robo-Ninjas), an ITV2/TCC copy, a Channel 4/VHScopy (no Sonic Sez), and a video copy (used on the boxsets) as well as the syndication and the Toon Disney (altered/cut) copies in the US. I might be wrong but I've noticed the difference between the boxset and on TV. According to the date of the Full-Tilt Tails episode as an example it says 26 August 2004, so I guess DiC or whoever makes a copy every 5 years or so in case they wear out. If anyone wants the weird master info on the UK AOSTH episode that was accidentally left in, feel free.

So if Super Koopa was fixed, they could use a different master that might be harder to find or the Foreign version (that definately has no blockouts) but at a catch, the Foreign version is PAL!

I am glad that it was released and all the episodes are there I'm not taking anything to heart with Wikipedia my question is why is it that some people have that glitch and some people don't so why is that? were there some DVDs that might have converted the video bad? I know you said you can't do nothing about it now Thank you for letting me know that you got the masters from DiC. If  Dic has only one set of the masters what about NBC would they have a copy of it?

These cartoons are an embedded gemstone in my life and always will be.(mario,sonic,megaman,zelda,etc) via old school cartoons. For a die hard fan,its ok to be concerned with your favorite show and ask questions from time to time.Half the users understood you loud and clear that something was wrong with SMB3. To ask the possibility of a replacement disc being made was a priority(inwhich youve addressed). Four to five times is ok just to spread the word,but reiterating the same question was too much. Jonny as a loyal true fan,you did your job. Except you've pushed the issue further then needed. So for future reference, do it as little as possible because Brian Ward will answer questions eventually. Just be paitent from now on..Sorry jonny.

Hey Brain I just have a question for you what if you got the last episode lets say maybe from someone who has it on VHS and it is a clear copy without the glitch or maybe one with a different language and try to edit it with english is there anyway maybe you could transfer that to DVD? Hey i'm just asking.

Yeah that would be excellent if you send him the copy then maybe like you said if he has time maybe there can be a replacement Disc and you did say it's in great shape yeah I checked Ebay for the VHS but they didn't have that episode  :(

They have it on you tube but on the screen it says PAX   LOL I remember watching it on that station a long time ago I did tape a few myself but I never got that episode either =(

Not unless there's a VHS still in excellent condition. I mean, one time, I found an AoSTH VHS with Blank-Headed Eagle and Grounder the Genius on it, and it is still in amazing condition.

Yea I know that they have the VHS in good qaulity but Brain said he can't transfer it to DVD I guess the video isn't all that great If It was to be transffered. I wish there was a way though. Yea I checked Ebay and Amazon for It but they don't have it which is Super Koopa thats the only episode in the boxset that has the glitch all the other episodes are fine.

Right thats what I'm thinkin maybe it was a bad transfer it had to be if you don't have that glitch I know my copy of the episode does. Question on the last episode on your Disc Mario is suppose to say were in trouble it's Koopa doomship but on my Disc it goes grey then he says it's Koopa doomship  or something like that I think anyway.      

I also got mine in bestbuy but mine has the grey out on Super Koopa I brought mine like 3 days later after the release date I'm going to see if my friend has that glitch I'm going to ask him.

I posted on here a while back saying my copy of super mario bros 3 dvd had no glitches on the last episode....well when people starting talking about it on here a month ago or so, i slowly fast-fowarded through  the episode but never saw any glitches, today i watched it for the first time, its taken me a month cause i on average watch one 11 min episode per day, but i saw the glitches today....its was like a skip or something then 2 brief "white outs" for a second......seeing them now, they arent bad at all, i mean its not like any real footage is missing, i mean hey at least it wasnt like that Captain N episode that missing like 2 minutes.

Yeah I asked my friend and he also has the glitch anywany About the Smbss Vol 1 & 2 is that it for the Smbss or will they make a Vol 3? or is 1 & 2 the complete Series? just thought I asked. Does anyone know when there going to release The New Super Mario World and Capt N?
